I took my handheld GPS for a drive and apparently my speedo is 5ks off at 100... Holding down reset for the avg speed actually shows the same speed as the gps...

so I guess the analogue speed is dumbed down, but the car knows whats really goin on... so in theory odometer would be correct...

The family Territory ghia is the same deal...

Mine seems very accurate.

My T is brand new with factory 18s and at freeway speeds the GPS says there is nothing in it.

I was in a hired Mitsi 380 two weeks ago (with GPS) and when the 380 speedo showed 110kmh, the GPS was showing only 103!

Speedos on most cars would be off by 2-3 km/h, a lot of car reviews also have a part which has actual speed at indicated 100 and most are around 97 mark.
