sorry to hear about that mate. go to the council and see what happens.

pot holes are my number 1 enemy on the road. I am constantly trying to avoid them wherever I go. sometimes makes me think that I should just buy a piece of sh*t and not worry about them.

damn things really piss me off.

This exact habit got me pulled over at 4:00 am on Monday morning, the cops were certain they had a severely intoxicated driver.

After pulling me over we had a good laugh as they were telling me all that they could see from the distance was my light beam straying all over the road. They even pulled up on the shoulder in fear that I would collect them on the way past!

Trent.

sure trent.... :spoton:

Actually, been through this myself. My insurer tried to get money from Blacktown City Council (NSW) without success.

All we got back was a standard letter stating drivers must be wary, Council has limited funds, etc etc.

However, If I had the same ahain, I go with the letter from a Solictor. As previously, a member has had success this way.

Here is my pothole which destroyed 2 wheels and tyres.

I believe they are liable unless they have a roadwork or indicator sign of some description. Council claims officers are high paid insurance company proffesionals anyway.. I once forced through a damaged rim on a curb claim because I found out the Garth R. I was talking to at the council was the same Garth R. that handled my last insurance claim with AAMI.... He was still with AAMI and moonlighting for the council...

Work that one out.....

Also, A guy called Bert (European Accent) is the same guy you will talk to when you ring the MTA and also when you ring the Dept of Fair Trading.

One is sponsored by the government to protect consumers and one is sponsored by the Motor dealers to protect themselves.... Bert seems to have his hand in both Pies....
