Overall I like it.

I am not so sure on the duct holes - do they have a function?

ie do they feed the motor - or do they help get the flow going out of the back vent?

Hey Goldbullet,

When this bonnet got discussed a while ago it didn't really appeal with the photo's I saw.

But these photos make it look awesome and have completely changed my opinion, Great work :spoton:

I forgot to mention the heat that comes out through mesh is huge, it just shows you the heat we are keeping under the Bonnet.  :spoton:

I was chatting to a Mercedes mechanic the other day and we were discussing the heat in the engine bay, and I like the idea of sort of scoop over the turbo area, a bit like the single ones on the old evo's, more of an inverted scoop than a vent. He also pointed out that the big rubber seal at the back of the bonnet near the windscreen is a great way to retain all the unwanted heat.

question though.... what about when it rains?

No problem....

There's so much heat emanating out the vent, the water vaporises! :spoton:

seriously, though, good idea, and looks good, and if it is functional in extracting heat, it's a big plus.

Just not totally sold on the vents at the front of the bulge.

look too small..... I'd probably prefer a larger, wider intake, similar to the ferrari style.

just my opinion.

well done. :crybaby:

As for the rain the scoop is vented at the back so the water runs of the side of the engine underneath, as for releasing heat, the amount of heat that is able to escape through the back scoop is fantastic.
