ZAP No boost, no bottle, just my foot on the throttle! Lifetime Members 7,935 Member For: 21y 4m 23d Gender: Male Location: Sydney Posted 23/08/05 12:50 PM Share Posted 23/08/05 12:50 PM I had 3 postie bikes... I used to ride it to school from 15yo -> nearly got busted by the school when I ran out of fuel and a teacher saw me pushing it to the servo. Said I was filling it up for a mate. It beat the bus but sydney peak hour traffic was a beiatch I havent owned a bike for 15 years, but I still ride dirt bikes on a friends farm. Kuitpo and Kersbrook, and Deep Creek National Park. Had a suzy TS250 trail, then a PE250 enduro followed by a KLX250 kwacka, and finally an XR500 honda. Really miss the Honda.Considered getting a road bike, but realised I'd probably kill myself on a real road racer. The speed you get up to in so little time on a big bore bike is exhillarating, but damn dangerous. A couple of near misses on borrowed mates bikes was enough for me.At least on the dirt, there weren't big metal 4 wheeled monsters just aching to run you down. I believe everyone should ride a motor bike before being issued with a car licence, just so they can appreciate how vulnerable bike riders are....These days, I still have some two wheeled action. Pedal power.I've got a classic Moser framed 12 speed racer, with Campagnolo gear set, modolo brakes and lightweight Mavic wheels. An oldie, but a goodie.problem is, I'm not as young as I used to be, and the weight to power ratio has diminished drastically... tubbytom Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/19613-fellow-temporary-australians/#findComment-286026 Share on other sites
