This bloke had more than just his GT-P on show at a Sydney Ford day recently. Proudly displayed infront of his beast was his ticket for doing 297Kph in Canberra. So close to the big 300 mark but who knows he might of actually got there and beyond once past the camera. For all the doubters, which still includes me, ive added it below.

More impressive was the streets speed limit of only 70Kph. Must have been the longest 70 zone in Australia.

And dont bother tracking him down to worship him ive blanked his details out.

Welcome to the forum XCITEXR,

It's a bit dubious isn't it, I don't know of any 70kph zones where you could do that on a bike, let alone in car. At risk of sounding like a boring old fart, if it is real, imagine the mess if someone had pulled out in front of him.

Cheers & enjoy the forum,

Steve

I've spoken to that bloke at the FPV day and it's BULLsh*t, the ticket was written up by one of his friends who is in the JOB :spoton:

Commonwealth Ave is not all that long and is slightly uphill (to get over bridge).

Even if you came around Parliament House at 150 you would be pushing it to get to 297 and slow down again before the next roundabout... :spoton:

I guess it is downhill if you went the other way... :fool:
