just think a f6 tune as your base tune and then more on top of that and when you go to sell it they get the f6 tune and you sell your flash tuner

YES it can be done

NO it is not common practice; Ford MoCo would no doubt frown upon it

Cost would probably be a carton of beer for the mechanic - is not something they would invoice.

To shed a little ligh on the subject, I have a BF XR6T ZF 6spd, and work at a ford dealer, I put a BF F6 tune in my car for a couple days... thing is, due to different ABS module calibrations (F6 doesnt has DSC) and oil pressure switch (for F6 oil gauge) you end up with warning lights constantly ablaze, also your ABS, T/C and DSC will not work....

shouldn't, they don't come up on a 5spd BA, I really can't stress enough that you should just get a flash tuner, it's much safer and you can expand your set-up easier
