Is this necessarily the case? Personally, I doubt it. Both cars modified will get the same treatment, so how will a modified Typhoon be better(or more powerful) than a modified T?

Eg. both cars would run an Edit.

both cars would get Bosch 968's

both cars would get a bigger intercooler.(yes, even the phoon)

both cars would get Walbro fuel pump.

Yeah, I suppose you have to decide where to draw the line. A certain level of mods would remove any power advantage that the phoon might have had, as the hardware responsible is removed, or altered.

The original comparo was an edited T to a stock F6. My point (perhaps not communicated very well) was that if you edited the stock F6, it would (could/should?) be back on top.

I think.

I do not doubt Corty's time whatsoever in his stock F6.

I had the pleasure of a standing start against a brand spankers Maloo yesterday (private road of course), it was an auto and standard - the driver told me afterwards. The Maloo got about a half a car head start and the 'phoon caught him and put an easy half a car by the end of first, another full car by the end of second and was pulling away to lock me up territory.

I absolutely love the shift buzzer. Just steer the car and change gears son!

Imagine what that guy will think if he is unlucky enough to pull up beside it after next Saturday................ (that is when the Nizpro kit, exhaust and tuning will be finished) :msm:

I had a phoon for a 24 hr test drive, wasn't bad dut hated the manual I'd rather have my mk1 auto any day. The phoon is a good car and will get alot better but I still wouldnt swap here is the one I had 200klm on the clock. :msm:

An xr6t will always be faster its simple they are lighter and they are auto even when the typhoon comes out in auto the T will still be quicker due to weight, same mods on both cars will give the same power figures just like a modded SS and modded HSV

I owned a modded T for 12 months... light and great in a straight line, but if you want to stop or hit corners at a mind boggling speed, then do what I did...

I have owned a F6 for 24.7 hours (870kms) and as far as I am concerned there is no comparison..... The F6 is not just more of a car, as far as I am concerned the XR6T is not even in the same league (unless you like drag racing)..... I have had a stupid grin on my face from this car since I turned the corner from the dealers.... Havent even taken it above 5000rpm yet but loved it on the burringbar range when the WRX Sti driver lost sight of me more than once and when I slowed to let him go in front for a while he just sat in behind me and waved....

  • Just because it is, doesn't mean it should be.....

Ive never been in a Modded XR6T before so I cannot make that comparison, buty against the Standard XR6T Ute 5 Speed dad used to have before the Pursuit, I would win Pretty Easy in My opinion, Against the Pursuit I think it would win reasonably easy to....

I reckon that once you start talking modded, "Mines faster than yours" arguments aren't worth :pooh:
