Just have a look at that 1st pic I have just posted, and notice how close the landing gear is to the people standing on the beach! :biglaugh:

Yeah... that is crazy.

What do you reckon? About 20 feet above their heads? :spit:

My old man would love that, he's an aeroplane freak!

When he gets back from overseas on Sunday I'll show him... he'll wanna go there...

Seems a bit suspect, either that or they are nuts. All it would take is for someone to throw a beachball up and it could bugger one of the motors.

Most airports wouldnt allow people to get within 100feet of an aeroplane unless they were boarding it.

though - weirder things have happened I guess.

Its all true mate, just take a look how short the runway is. The land low to take full use of the runway, and just to think they have 747's landing there!

My oldman is a pilot and we were doing a run up (this is were you run the engine at full juice to see if it will fart or carry on before you take off)and one of the brake calipairs clapped out and we started doing donuts for a second.

The other plane he had was a beechcraft baron and he would have to run both engines at full throttle to get a good launch to get off kepple island airstrip. One day it would all most drag the plane alomg with the brakes on.Yeah she was a beast of an airplane.

I took a few people from work up for a flight once and when I put the seat back it didn't lock...

as I taxied forward and tried to push on the rudder the seat went back...I had to lean right back and push with my toes to get the brakes, I only just got them...just after the wingtip hit the hanger :spoton::spoton:
