Need Advice From People Who Buy New Cars Often

As posted in an earlier thread we have ordered a new territory and should get it in mid september,

Now it is a TX AWD,

the new tx awd will come with the six speed, mine won`t.Will the rrp be higher and I am better off with the current one because I got it at the old price.

Can I get the dealer to upgrade it to tne new one ,dealer says thatI have got a sido no. but that's it so far,he says that I can`t upgrade it as they don`t even know the new rrp

any help would be great. I have already put 10% deposit down.

I origanlly ordered a vibe mk1 ute then changed colours dealer had no problem changing colour and to a mk11 even gave me the same price so I dont see why yours should be any different.

it has to get built for us I asked him if it could be pushed back and he said no due to the rrp being different

can the deal, if he cant/wont find the price out then walk away. Even if the new model is heaps dearer (it wont be) u will still be able to get ba2 proberly cheaper as run outs anyway.

I`ve alreadyn put 10% deposit down where talking about an awd tx territory not a BA.If I walk away I lose my 10%

When I brought my T I had origanlly ordered a NA XR6, changed to the turbo some 2 Weeks later. The dealer had no problems with it at all.

You are not pulling out of the deal you just want to upgrade. If the salesman won't budge then talk to the Sales Manager, then the General Manager or Dealer Principle.

Pick a busy time to visit as with the new open plans of dealerships they hate a scene in the show room. Be forthright and firm about what you want and if you have to be, be loud.(Not rude)

I have done deals for my company cars over the years and salespeople have tryed to stiff me with freebies to get the deal and when delivered there not on the car. I yell and b**ch and moan until I get my way.

Tell them what you want and don't be swayed remember, your the customer and doing them a favour by shopping at their dealership not the other way around.

Biggest prob is they say its already been ordered and processed as well as I dont know what price increase if any to expect.If it was 5k more I would be happy with the curent one as it not necessary to have any extra power as she wont use the gears and only does short trips.

I ordered my BA MKII XR6 turbo over 3 weeks ago and few days ago I though I wanted the Ford iDesign XR Luxury pack I though they could add it on if the car is not build yet well as it Turn out the car was build and heading it's way to syd!! My dealer says that's cool he will Build me another car and upgrade me to a BF falconxr6 T with all my options I wanted for extra 1K.
