The Mustang is running twin GT47-88 turbos. The truck is running twin PTE-76GTS's.JZ Edited 18/08/05 01:08 PM by JZ 97 SS 1500

summoner Member 288 Member For: 19y 4m 21d Posted 18/08/05 02:33 PM Share Posted 18/08/05 02:33 PM Im not saying a single turbo or twin turbo is better....Alot of Gtr, Supra guys go for a huge single turbo due to the simplicity, and also theyre alot cheaper, but dont forget, if you have a smaller turbo feeding a larger turbo; you wont have lag, you'll still get the big turbos higher rev range power, the supras used this kind of setup bloody we'll, Gtrs on the other hand didnt use the sequntial turbo system theyre.....Im sure HPF are good guys and know what theyre doing im jus stating a point that this is something no one has yet to try and im damn sure it'll get people results....also on a side note, has anyone here tried using a ford 9inch detroit locker???<{POST_SNAPBACK}>The supra's turbo's are the same size, there is no smaller turbo feeding a bigger turbo. This would created a restriction up top as the smaller turbo would limit airflow into the larger unit. Also another note, the GT42R will NOT support 1000hp for that you'd need something more along lines of a GT45.

Would be nice though. I tink the faclon body is a solid axle and mini tubs away from being in the solid mid 9's. We though are using a fox body mustang....<div class='bbimg'></div>They are light fast and plenty of aftermarket parts and its still a Ford. Plus we think, judging by our measurements, that the XR6T engine will be an easy fit. We will CNC some custom engine mounts and custom bellhousing and it should be a wild ride.JZ Edited 19/08/05 04:20 AM by JZ 97 SS 1500
Seekndestroy Member 9 Member For: 19y 4m 9d Posted 19/08/05 04:59 AM Author Share Posted 19/08/05 04:59 AM Im only saying a bigger turbo would be better due to the huge displacement from the engines, and has anyone else noticed how sh*t the intake setup is on the T's? Its got WAY too much tubing I rekon, shouldve had the intake box on the same side as the turbo so you dont need so much cross over intake piping, lots better response I rekon....
