Visually the only changes I can see are either insignificant or in the case of the rims and front bar a backwards step.

Obviously the 6 speed and extra torque are major positives.

Most importantly will we be able to use the capa box on them?

I have it from the horses mouth ( jerry@SCT ) that they will be on top of the new box and will have an update for our flashers just before or just after release of the ZF.

Hahaha get this guys.

the XL V8 and XLS V8 utes will still only get the 220 kw/470 nm V8... Compared to the sedans getting 230 / 500 nm, as apparently commercial customers don't want anymore power... Plus they still only get the 4 speed auto apparently

Ive never heard of anything so stupid in my life...

Ford are totally f*cked as far as im concerned, if your going to release a new model series make it worthwhile to upgrade...

They don't look too bad to me. But I don't think they are the BF rims for the XR6T because if you look closely at the other PR pics, you'll see they look pretty plain jane flat with little tab indent on the top of the spokes.

they should chuck these tail lights on the XR's.

Keep the tail lights, but I would go with the rims and exhaust.

Some of you people are whingers. What would you rather-

6 speed auto, bigger brakes, upgraded engines, small styling changes, better performance and fuel economy

or

New headlights, bumpers and slight panel changes.

At least Ford do decent mechanical upgrades unlike Expensive Daewoo which throw new headlights and bumpers over the same piece of crap outdated engines, trans and 30 year old suspension designs.

New V6 and 5 speed auto excluded, but I'm sure they will be using the same basic setup in 15 years time.

Here go, here's a pic where I thought the alloys were different from the others I'd seen earlier in this forum.

Headlights, bumpers and panel changes.

I modify my cars anyway. To add 5 kw to an engine is insulting, especially given the proven power variances between identical stock XR's can be 10-15kw. The 6 speed gearbox is awesome, but it doesn't come for free.
