I'm happy that the BF XR6T is really only a BA XR6T MKIII+. That means those of us paying of our T's still when the BF Hits and those of us planning to keep our BA T's for another 4 years or so wont feel we are missing out on much...

It is not a mini revolution like the AU to BA was its only a few upgrades that arn't worth buying a new car unless your loaded IMHO

:D

Dunno if this has been mentioned before but heres a few more things that BF gets:

Traction control: all sedans & XR utes

Dynamic stability control: XR6T & XR8 & Territory and Fairlane & LTD

Performance brakes: XR6T & XR8 & all V8 sedans

ABS: latest version of Bosch software 8.0

Tyres have also been changed mainly for NVH reasons & many other little bits and pieces mainly for refinement. All the info is on the GoAuto site, Go Auto

A bit of a leap forward methinks or should I say I hope.

Its all the little 1 - 2 percent improvements throughout the car that will make the difference.

I bet the car will just seem that much better but you won't be able to really tell why... Like an average rugby team.... Just because a team gains one of the best forwards on the feild, doesn't mean that this team is going to suddenly win everything if the rest of the team don't improve... It requires all the players to play together as a team and improve together.

A car is the same thing. The best engine in the world stuck in an old dato is great fun for a drag car, but in most respects, would simply suck.

But, having a great engine mated with a great drivetrain pushing a great chassis holding a great interior, is a team worth backing, and that's the way I see this upgrade. Improvements throughout which will make an overall better package.

It might not sound like much has changed, but I'll bet that when you all go for a drive that it will just seem 50% better... But you won't exactly know why...

Its all about a team effort :ta:

I agree. we will still feel as though we have the current model, bar a few changes. not much in my opinion.

yeah right :spoton: just keep thinking that and you might convince yourself in the end :ta:

The only thing I can see affecting the price of the current BA's is if they charge identical amounts for the BA and BF, but they won't they will charge a premium for the BF's extra things (it would probably be like been forced to tick the box for premo brakes and pay the increase in price...)

The T is already very refined as a car, the little improvments are simply taking a great car and refining it some more...
