C'mon Guys bar the 6 speed auto dont get fooled into updating your car for cosmetic crap. If they release a new model and not a facelift it should be a different car.

Does anyone know the capabilities of the ZF 6spd box?

e.g. handles torque better?

What other cars use it....it's not the M3 / M5 box is it - lot's of problems for BMW that you don't hear about (funny that)?

Any specs apart from ratios?

I agree, it not at all worth upgrading from a BA. Its a bit naive though, to suggest that they shouldn't slap a new model designation onto a vehicle with only minor revisions. Been done many many times before, and not just by Ford.

wasnt there talk on this forum that the zf auto will be awesome for mods cos it can handle heaps of torque something like 800 or 900 nm but it says only 600nm till not to bad though considering that the ford torque rating would no doubt be conservative but by how much is the question

Dont be so niaive! The EL was a HUGE improvement over the EF. Although it didnt SHOW on the outside as much, the improvements ran deap.

The 6SP Auto would be enough to make me upgrade, not only is the car going to be faster, its going to be SOO much more fuel efficient.

Only thing, I JUST bought a new car. Once every 4/5 years is enough.
