What I dont understand is that the mild steel is a twin 2.5 inch system and the stainless one is a twin into single 3 inch system. Does anybody know why this is?? Does anyone use the Herrod system?? When I purchased mine they were both twin 2.5".I'm happy with the exhaust note from it macka Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/19389-herrod-exhaust/#findComment-281894 Share on other sites

It is usually good quality. Probably more to do with the tuning of the vechicle more than their gear.I'd like to see all their gear on a car and tuned by someone else like HPF before you can draw that view. It seems that the only ones complaining about their performance or perseved lack of are the people who don't use any of their gear. If the complaints were coming from their customers then you could say they had a problem. It's not always about having the fasted or most powerful car for a lot of people. But knowing you can leave your pride and joy there and know that it will be looked after in the same manner as you would expect and have piece of mind. You could eat your lunch on their workshop floor and they only have quality cars there. If they were no good they'd be out of business.macka Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/19389-herrod-exhaust/#findComment-281904 Share on other sites

Posted 13/08/05 04:22 AM Share Posted 13/08/05 04:22 AM Most if not all Herrod gear is someone else's rebadged. Take a look at the CAPA tuner for example. I know a few guys that have run Herrod tuned cars and they aren't quick. The Herrod exhaust is someone elses badged Herrod, I think it could be DeFillipo but not sure. They usually charge more than the original manufacturer aswell. If you're interested in buying an exhaust I'd do some researching on this site and you'll probably find a better cheaper exhaust.Geea.
