Cause ive seen a few Mark II XR6 Turbos... in manual... and I would want the manual than a auto... but if anyone can inform me about this nice lookin car please do =D

Anyways.. back to my research =D later

There are 100's of them for sale, a good place to start would be the carsales web site or something and the market section of the forum.

Might be wise to indicate what city you are in and what you are after, ie colour and options etc.

Good luck :spoton:

PS. I am lookig for cheap fuel, if you know where I can get it for under $1 let me know!

Chalk and cheese here mate

Maxima = You obviously want a car that blends in the same way a Toyota Avalon does. The Police wont notice you that's for sure :pinch:

XR6T = :msm:

Tough choice

I don't understand how you could be looking at a maxima....

The T would have to be about twice as comfortable, with more safety features, and allot more fun/practical.

I don't see how that can be your 2 choices...

If you said a liberty or something, that would be understandable, but a maxima?

No this isn't just my personal opinion either, most will tell you that a maxima will put you to sleep faster than anesthetic...

I think if you test drive the XR you'll end up with one. Just like I did.

So you want a black one (sure you havn't already had a T and written if off!) ha ha.

I dont much like the styling of the Maxuma, they look a bit fat and floaty for my money.

If its a 2nd hand T your after, try to catch one with options like the Lux pac or premium sound at least (that's for the colour ICC) Also check for mods which have been done and then taken off.

Good luck.

black just looks evil... and also .... the purple colour aint too bad =D

hehehe what would make me think I already had one ??

Nah I had a Mazda Astina Hardtop 1.8 ltr before..

was a good car till lack of tread on tyres + wet road * round about = slide into a kerb and street sign =P

I just test drove one a auto matic with the triptronic shift... and I gotto say was nice and smooth... =D

Im just iffy bout the lil noises we heard... but other than that was a nice car.. just wanna try the manual..

I found out what my dad read bout the problems they have and one was that the ECU played games and when you floor it it sometimes never responded and seemed like it had lost power... and then the person that posted the article said he had problem after problem with them trying to resolve it..

So yeh I just wondered if anyone has had problems.. and I wanna know pros and cons =D (im a researcher before I buy... =P )

Also ... which would you guys reakon is better ... manual or Automatic ??

cause yeh that would be a big factor in the end for what I get =D

thanks guys your help and input is appreciated =D

You have probably come to the wrong forum to get an objective opinion on buying another car vs an XR6T.

If you want to know any problems owners have had with their T's then go through the hundreds of posts and you will read plenty. Having said that, all cars / owner experiences are different. Some people have recurring problems and some (including myself - touch wood) are trouble free. I don't think the T is any more / less reliable than the majority of cars on the road today.

I personally like the Maxima. It goes well for a big front-driver and in black looks pretty classy. Lower it a little and throw on some 18"s and it would look real sharp, although I'm not a big fan of the dash layout.
