All stock but considering adding a hiflo cat to the stock system. What sort of gains could I expect? Anybody out there have any experiences or opinions - can't go crazy as it is my work ride.CheersScotty

I believe you can get around 240 rwkw with edit/unichip etc and everything else stock. I think a hi-flow cat can stretch that by about 20 kw then you are pretty much capped by the capacity of the stock injectors. These are guesstimations but there maybe someone here who has these mods who can give proven dyno figures.Muz
Guest mercurysteve Guests Posted 08/08/05 05:13 AM Share Posted 08/08/05 05:13 AM when I got edited, HPF said that "the cat must have hi-flowed itself" 248rwkw stock springs, fuel pump etc, so that may help those trying to see what effect the cat may have if it's hi flowed. If it's true, I have no idea how it would have happened.

The cat is what is suspected to be the restriction but yet to have it back to HPF for more testing.

Pretty much what I expected though given the quality of the aps exhaust. 36rwkw gain over stock Damn I want that APS exhaust...And the intercooler. Quality stuff indeed

This should give you all an idea how restrictive the std cat is, and yes, it is the major restriction
