ive got 19x9.5's on the back. they come flush with the side of the car..

if I put SSL's on it, would the tyre rub with the black plastic behind the wheel arch?

it depends on the rubber, if you have 275's you will be allright, I have same springs with 275/30r19 but supposedly with 285's you will need to get the inner gaurd rolled.

Had another good look at my car, looks like the pics you have posted in ride height. It might just be me expecting it to sit lower.

Okay I think I do have a problem, Just having a look at the car again, the driver side looks lowered, its about 2 cm above the rubber both front and back, the passenger side still looks the same when compared to the original height. The passenger side there is an additional 2cm gap I.e. it sits about 4 cm above the rubber, on the drive side I can just fit the car alarm controll between the rubber and guard, on the passenger side its fits easily with few cm play. which is noticeable when comparing the two sides, has anyone else experience this ? can the spring have been installed incorrectly ?

Those springs are the same as I have in my car. I am wrapped with the ride height and ride quality has not been affected.

I've had the same experience with these springs - looks great and retains ride quality, so I'm a happy man! Yup, and I reckon your car looks really good like that Luke, wouldn't want it any lower than that IMHO.

Your rears will be sitting on the bump stops.

As for the fronts, yes they can be installed incorrectly. Make sure the groove (key) is facing out towards the front of the car in the top of the suspension.

Only way to find out if this is done right is to jack it up...

A couple of questions from someone with close to NFI about suspension. I'm looking to drop the rear only on my T but I don't want to lower it to the point where I need to trim down the bump stops.

What are the different sizes of King springs and how far do they lower the suspension?

Are the SL and SSL specs about spring height or do they refer to front / rear springs?

Muz

SSL arent on the bump-stops at all... my ute has SSL all round and the rear bumps are still about 1.5' off the diff. I havent cut them down, nor have I hit them yet... and its copped a fair hiding on the ruff stuff!!

are you positive it was actually rubbing the tyre? with a full load the tyre travels upward in an arc and therefore slightly pinches in and clears the guard. I have had close to 300kg in the backseat and the tyre went in the arch nowhere near the lip
