Whilst u have your wheels off you may aswell paint your calipers, its only two extra bolts Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/19250-diy-lowered-spring-install/#findComment-279365 Share on other sites

Member 192 Member For: 21y 4m 23d Location: Melbourne Posted 05/08/05 01:57 AM Share Posted 05/08/05 01:57 AM The front is the problem, the strut/shock works in reverse to normal, remove it and it compresses (Not expands) so you need to be able to compress the front springs to get the top back on ! Otherwise you'll be in trouble ! Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/19250-diy-lowered-spring-install/#findComment-279366 Share on other sites

Isnt the front as simple as removing the strut, compress the spring, unscrew top mounting plate, take off spring, compress new spring (with spring compressor clamps) and put on, screw the top plate back on, take off spring compressors and put strut back in. The front end suspension is no different to my Magna when I was replacing the springs in that.Well if all goes to plan and it doesnt rain on Saturday, I should have my car lowered by night fall Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/19250-diy-lowered-spring-install/#findComment-279378 Share on other sites
