It will be interesting to see whether the VE Late model camira next year will get this version, it may be too early and costly.Details can be found at 2006 Corvette6L80 6 Speed6L80 specsDetailed pictures can be downloaded here.GM 6L80 auto pics

V8 FRD is probably right with the mainline models getting it in

I'd like to know if anyone knows the truth about this and if so, when it will happen?Wheels reckons it makes sense for Ford to update the transmission at the same time as making changes to the in-line 6 cylinder engine to meet Euro III emission standards (currently they're meeting the Euro II emission standards). The new Euro III emission standard comes into force on New Years Day 2006 in Australia.I'm hoping so because I"m expecting delivery of my brand new Silhouette XR6T in November this year

I'm hoping that's when deliveries start. They reckon the MkIII will have the new ZF 6 speed auto transmission for the XR6T and other high end BAs and Territorys. Here's the link if you're interested to check out the postings.http://www.fordforums.com/showthread.php?t=112133

Fuel economy should be hugely improved too. As for the GM 6 speed the rumour is that only the V8's will get it, probably only HSV's and maybe the SS, Caprice etc.
