The F6 oil cooler is readily available, the actual unit lists for $126.00, but you will also need to purchase new water lines, as the F6 jobbie is water cooled.

You will also need to purchase a new oil filter, as the ol AFL1 will no longer fit!

I will be getting HPF to fit a F6 oil cooler to my XR6 in early September. :spit:

F'n ell, that's cheap sounds like a good solution...does one need the VIN?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Im not getting involved with that, I have been slammed too many times for saying one thing, and a member goes to a dealership and they are told something else. Then I am made look like a d1ckhead. No thanks. :spoton:

Cheer up mate...could be worse, you could wake up one morning and find you are Ross. :tease:

So do you think the water cooled oil cooler will make much difference? I would assume that the water cooling the motor already effectively cools the oil anyway without an additional cooler? Would this way be more efficient?

I guess Ford must have done a bit of research into it all. Maybe they use this method because of the lack of space for an air oil cooler up front. I guess anything helps.

The water lines, cooler unit , adapter etc - are they all in worth less than $200 then? You dont happen to have any part numbers do you?

I THINK it would be better......Ford don't make a habit of bolting bit's on for no reason, for the cost, I'd give it a go!

Just wanted to dig this one up again - is there any progress on this front?

Anyone else got oil-coolers? (with intercoolers and trans coolers)???

If so where are you mounting them for good air flow?? There is not a hell of a lot of room up there after all the other goodies are fitted!!
