I'm still very keen to meet a few of the local members and have a chat about the mighty T and thought the best way of doing this would be over a casual feed somewhere, maybe a few drinks afterwards (and during, of course!), etc.Mid week probably suits me best but I'm open to other suggestions if it means you'll be able to make it. I'm proposing Wednesday 10 or 17 August and, in the interests of picking a neutral venue for both north and southsiders, suggest that we find somewhere in the city. Central location, plenty of spots for a good meal and the Civic Pub for those wanting to kick on a bit. Or, if you're old farts like myself, we could always head somewhere for a coffee instead! So, who's interested?! And does anyone have a preference for dates/where we go? I can kick off with a few suggestions, such as Hog's Breath Cafe, La Scala (apparently some members have Entertainment Cards they are willing to use that can get us a hefty discount), Sammy's Kitchen, Caffe Della Piazza.Let me know if you're keen and whether you have a preference for eating venue and I'll get busy booking tables, etc. Non-Canberra members are, of course, more than welcome if you can be bothered making the trip! Actually, when I said 'non-Canberra' members I had you in mind saleen, so glad you're able to make it - now that IS keen!! Jeez Cro, you must be a fussy *beep*, I LOVE Hogsbreath steaks!! Alright then, I guess I could force myself to the northside just this once. I find that unless someone makes a call these things never tend to happen, so here it is.Wednesday 10 August at Zefferelli's (or whatever the place is) in Dickson. I'll book a table for 6pm and we can have a couple of coldies while waiting for latecomers/dinner (Cro, I assume the place is either BYO or sells alcohol?).So far we have Cro, ms700, Danno, saleen and me.
