NSW Police Highway patrol XR6T are run on normal unleaded and the tests using 91RON makes no difference to the vehicles. No body can calim they drive there T's harder then police T's are driven and the 91RON is fine for them.

In realtion to the soraing petrol prices, were all struggling to deal with it and I keep finding it very interesting that the share prices of oil companies keep going up and up. So they are obviously not doing us any favours.

$1.20/25 for Ulimate98 is about average for Sydney for the past 2-3months. However I do recall seeing it for $1.30 the other week

Typically u'll find the following pricing premiums

# Ultimate 98; 8-10c's extra

# Optimax; 8-11c's extra

# Vortex 98; 10-13c's extra

# Vortex 95; 7-10c's extra

# Mobile 8000; 8-11'c extra

What bugs me is that the prices are not on the signs in NSW (and I assume elsewhere in Australia?) for premium stuff. So you can't just do a drive-by. :spoton:

I use Vortex 98 as this is my local servo. I find that I get good performance and around 5oo - 550 k's from a tank if I behave (which is rarely)....

I like the Optimax as well and don't notice much of a performance change.

I wouldn't use AMPOL premium again if my life depended on it as it was like driving a coomodore with a miss ( oh, I forgot, that is a standard Expensive Daewoo tune)

Haven't tried BP yet but will to see if there is a difference.

Caltex and Ampol is exactly the same fuel. Not sure what you mean by 'AMPOL premium' though, is that Vortex gold? If so. it's the 95 RON stuff. If not, the normal unleaded is only 91.

Agree - same gas I believe. Probably just the GMH vehicle. :spoton:
