I agree. It's the lights that ruin them, side on they look ok. It's a shame though, cause I've always liked BM's. I'de much prefer a SL65 AMG, despite the 'slight' price difference.

In the flesh they look better. I agree Im not a fan of the 5 series styling but in M5 format and In the flesh I quickly changed my mind..

Saleen that slight difference is about 100k..

It is a shame the styling went so askew though - If I was spending that kind of money - Id want it to look good.

BMWs all use to look pretty good too, and aged well. I think BMW have gone a bit 'AU falcon' - aghhhh.

M5's have always looked good.

Right from the early E28's, the then next one (and the last Straight 6 M5), the E39 M5 is a classic, tough yet understated...this one, not too sure, I think you'd have to see it in the flesh...

In the $10,000 to $15,000 price bracket for me the picks are (Sorry for the OT):

1964-68 Jaguar 3.8 S Type with Overdrive Manual

1965-67 Daimler 250 V8 Saloon

1984-87 BMW E28 M5 (Euro Spec)

1993-95 ED XR6 Manual

1993-94 ED XR8 Sprint

Even though I like the E28 M5, I think that the E28 M535i, which can be had cheaper, is still quite a nice buy.

Lumpy

alot of people have said the 5's a shocker (looks-wise) but I think the 5 and 7 series looks great, especially the M5.

the sh*t looking ones are the 6 series  with an arse like a pig, and the z4 which looks like it was deliberatly crached before making it to the showroom.

post-193-1122630942_thumb.jpgLike all BMs the shape grows on you. I really couldnt come a the new one. In the flesh its a different story. I can't help but think that its lost some of its agressive looks.

This one is my car....I have never posted a pic before!
