thanks Macka, I tried 4 sets of chrome wheels next to my car after talking with you to see if your chrome ones would look good on my car (not the wheel, just Chrome on Mercury, I was a bit suss).

As it turns out, Chrome did no favours for my color car IMO and really highlighted that a shadow chrome was my only choice.

Good luck selling your set, good deal and the size of em really fills out those rear guards beautifully. :spoton: Way better buy than the millions on 8" sets about, I could not go past your set up, 245 fronts, 275 rears, looks so :kissmy:

UPDATE:

Seem to have lost a bit of power at the wheels for sure, O.K. so I have 275 wide rubber at the rears now and the wheels won't bag up like they used to. Nowhere near as tail happy which is what I wanted from a safety aspect. BUT: It feels slower through the gears to 80-90 clicks for certain.

Lots has been said about larger wheels = less rwkw Vs 17" rims, I can say from experiance be prepared for this, it's noticeable IMO

post-6802-1122593338_thumb.jpgMy Rims, 19" Fusion. Nankang tyres. Seem good for the price. Particularly as I dont push the car to its greater limits all the time. Handles well in the wet too. Rims were $2700 including tyres

I'm not sure what the rolling cirumference of 17" tyres is but if it's smaller then that of the 19" wheels you will notice a decrease in acceleration and increase in top speed.

hey mate, the ride comfort isn't too bad at all. Got pretty good roads here in canberra, so I suppose that helps a bit! It is a bit bumpy at times, but not uncomfortable. It feels firm on the road though... I had to make a compromise between looks and performance!
