My mate ran his F6 at WSID on Wednesday. Ran a best of 14.09 but had a heap of wheelspin.

G'day Aeron,

I note your mates F6 has reversing sensors in the rear bumper! Were these there standard - cause mine certainly hasn't got them!

How much were they fitted?? (if not standard)

Has anyone elses F6 got these??

Thanks

Reverse sensors a re a factory option but there are plenty of aftermarket one around for less than $100.(check e-bay)

When I had the loan GT-P it came with them and I remember thinking " if my driving ever becomes that bad that I start to rely on this to park then its time to stop driving".

That said I think it will become a standard item on all cars before too long. If someday it helps someone from "touch parking" into my car then great!

I'm still very sceptical of that 13.2 stock. I've seen slips from at least 8 or 9 F6's and they are all around the flat 14 mark. FPV claim the quickest they could run was 13.9 and Motor ran a 14.02. If yours is truly stock it must be an absolute freak as there has yet to be another F6 come within a bulls roar of that time. Has anyone done a drag analysis program of the F6 to see what time it is theoretically capable of.

Factory standard F6 with every option except sunroof (read HEAVY) running BP Ultimate with no additives and original SP9000 tyres last night at Willowbank.

on a computer, the f6 with 170kph as the mag said ,has the ability to run a 12.7sec time, but in the program, I cannot count on the torque reduction on gear change. but with good gear changes, and if the track is very sticky, the mag times can get blown out of the water. these cars will run a 12.9 sec run with good driver and some grip, if there is anyone with a f6 up north here that wants to try there car with full traction, I will let them try my M/T street radials and give them some tips to show the potential of these cars.

David,

I was discussing this same point with my mates last night. We are tempted to put my MT Street radials on, and go out and see what it can do.

I am with you, 12.9 1/4 out of a dead standard typhoon with sticky tyres is a very real possibility.

If I get stressed enough, I might just do it!.

Try and convince people that a standard F6 runs 12'zz.!!!! It will be impossible!

Cheers
