No Problem, any Mag that want's me to cain thier cars..please call!!

To get a good time with a manual turbo, you must ride the clutch for 1/2 a second before fully releasing, then the car just slingshots. If you simply dump the clutch (like the mags do) you will end up with a sh#t ET.

I know that feeling aye, tried some different launch techniques in my T with my mates, the dump gave me a 0-100 of 7secs! give or take a couple tenths ofcourse, but the feeling is different, you just kinda sit there

edit - congrats btw :smilielol:

f*cking awesome time, great to see the FPV's finally getting down to the times we all know they should be running :spoton:

Another thing to take into account with magazine times is that the unit the measure their 0-100s from (Correveit, VBox whatever) actually measures the 0-100 and 400m performace, where at the track they have the little roll-out thingy which can actually change Time Slip->VBox by 0.5 of a second. Taking into account that STILL would be a 13.something. Great stuff!

Great time turbocorty. I agree 1000% with the ride the clutch comment. Its essential to getting a good time from them. You simply cant step off the clutch with 550nm and get a good time. Well done mate. With mods they are a mid to low 12sec car - easy as ......

How log ago was it that 12 second street cars were the ducks nuts?? Amazing how times change!!

This only works for either light, 4wd or cars with slicks and allot of grunt (<11's).

With a heavy, rear wheel drive car on road tyres, you'll be lucky to get 0.2 out of rollout... Do a bit of maths and check it yourself. Even with an 11 second GTR, the difference is, at most, 0.4s.

Regardless of how the magazines test there cars, ALL the cars are tested the same. If, in a mag shootout car x beats car y, then it'll beat it wherever it runs, regardless..

As for chasing .2 well u can loose that on any given gearchange on any given run...

And I hope this doesn't breed a new theory of, "well Motor tested my car as a 14.1, BUT because of there timing devices, it's REALLY a 13.8 car" blah blah..

Also, with a 13.2 standard, we should see a high 12 sec pass from a $1500 edit & tune eh?? sweeeit..

That is a great result Turbocorty!! :spoton:

I am taking my car to Willowbank this Wednesday night and I will post the results on Thursday. My F6 is totally stock and I will be very happy with anything in the 13's.

My worst nightmare now is only doing 14's :stirthepot: Everyone will say that you must have had mods or edit or something. Personally I believe these cars are capable of mid 13's stock standard ever since the new clutch went in.
