Hi Guys

My near new Phoon ( 3400ks) as well as my previous T ,have experienced numerous scratches and scrapes to the underside of the front spoiler. Mostly at the expence of the old mans slightly steeper than normal driveway :spit: no matter how slow I take it, I can just get it up ( STFU) but in reverse seems to scrape no matter what angle I take it at.... go figure what comes up must come down, right? :fool:

Firstly , whom and why do you recommend a repairer for this kind of touch up and how much?

and......

Secondly ,should you protect the underside from scraping with a tape or some such thing :gooff:

I am sure I am not the first to admit to scraping the spoiler and wont be the last, but would like to get it fixed and also prevent damage to this part in the future. Feedback as always is welcomed. Other than learn to drive that is :fool:

try a thin piece of aluminium ( I can get u a piece free of charge ) and screw it to the underside of your spoiler. Noone will notice it unless they are looking underneath it, but if colour was to worry you that much go to big W and buy a can of yellow spray paint.

Just let me know if u want the alloy :gooff:

Personally I wouldn't bother till I was to sell or trade in the car if it would make that much of a difference.

Yeh, I agree.

I've had my front end resprayed due to stonechips, lower spoiler included and it's already back to square one with driveway scrapes. You could do what Zapperjack did and put four wheel drive springs in your car. Lol, go on, you know you want to.

I have a few, but I am also of the opinion, I bought the car, and I want to enjoy it.. I hate the fact of paying out $$ just so the next guy can have a nice front bar to look at..

On a similar subject, hows your paint going on the top side of the grey section?? Mine has faded very badly, paint looks extremely thin and the red is showing from underneath- through the grey.. I assume they paint the whole bar red, or whatever colour the car is.. then mask it up and spray the splitter grey, but don't undercoat it first, hence the lack of time it's staying on??

My bar looks bad.

I have a problem slowing down for speed humps and other low stuff. I have never had a car with such a low bar, so I figure I will (not) worry about it once I seel it.

I would not loose any sleep over a few scrapes you canot see :fool:

Oh and by theway Saleen, the bloody car is scraping on the driveway again. I have worked out the springs are sagging because of my fat :gooff:

I am not going to worry about it as we will sell the house soon
