Member 890 Member For: 20y 4m Gender: Male Location: Tweed Heads Posted 16/07/05 10:31 PM Share Posted 16/07/05 10:31 PM Had Barry for nearly 2 years now and I must admit he's only got 13,000k on the clock, <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Clarke, what the hell are you doing man 2 years and only 13,000k's. Get out there and drive that car. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Barry just sits in the garage with a cover over him for 6 days of the week while I go to work (company ute), then comes the seventh day (Sunday) and it always seems to be raining. Then on Sundays the missus wants to come with me, and that just defeats the whole purpose of driving, cause as soon as Barry so much as kicks back a gear, she starts whinging, "I don't have to drive like that , why do you?" So it looks like I'm gonna have to get out more on Thusday nights and Saturday afternoons when she's working and I'm not, cause Barry needs some exercise

HellionXR6T I'm Back!! Thats right, long over due! :) Lifetime Members 4,348 Member For: 22y 3m 27d Gender: Male Location: West Brisbane Posted 17/07/05 01:43 AM Share Posted 17/07/05 01:43 AM Well I've always wanted one since I joined, (Member since Nov 2002). Yes I've seen all the complaints but as others have said, other car manufacturers have just as many dramas with their new releases. The Jan `03 Phantom NA we had was modified to be almost as quick as a stock XR6T (233kwfw) and quite frankly one hell of a car on launch, had a minor problem with the throttle body and the VCT issue but warranty took care of that, dispite the mods I had done to the car. Only did 38,000 in it over a period of 23 months but loved every minute of it. If I knew I was getting rid of it, haha, would have done a few more things to it before saying goodbye.....lol. :spoton: But yep. Brilliant car.I've only had the TURBO ute for a couple of months now but I love it. Had a prang in it already, just under a month of owning the damn thing but it's just been repaired and looking like new. Getting the diff clunk and a few rattles but nothing too bad. Still love it. Mmm, just looking at those 5 black letters when walking around the vehicle just makes me say "YES"!!! Haha. Bought it @ 9,358kms, now done 13,000 or more and yep, love it. My next car no doubt will be another XR6T or XR8.

I think when people complain about the car it's mostly dealer problems that they are having not so much the car.I'm still smiling everytime I drive McShaker after 16 months macka
