New Guy Needs Help With Injectors

Guest

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

Apologies, if I'm covering old ground, but have found injectors and depending on what feedback and advice I get back, I'll either get them and fit them or source injectors that hopefully someone can recommend to me via replying to this topic.

These are what I've found and wondering if I should purchase and fit them, as I have the APS Phase 1 Unichip, minus injectors - BUT - hope to jump straight to phase 11 within next 6 months.

Will the following injectors be adequate enough to substitute the injectors that the 'Phase 1' would usually be packaged with.

Also, will these units give me more room to move should I want to be flow as much fuel as the Phase II injectors?

If not how come and what am I supposed to look for?

Hey Flukeyluke,

These items are listed on E-bay, hoping that I maybe able to get away with paying only $350-400. We'll see.

Would appreciate an opinion on these injectors.

Yay / Nay????????

Thanks

Darren

Hi, I would stay away from them.... I tried to check out ebay to see the whole add before commenting but could not find it. You have a fifty grand car so spend an extra $300 and get new injectors. See the thread about bosch 968's for $600 something, these will be more then sufficient for your phase 11 system.

Does the add have a proper part number??

Hi Darren,

It detends on the power level you ultimately want, they sound as though they are a standard injector that has been drilled out.

Ask the seller for a part number on them as that will help us figure out what they are, also ask if they are a quad orifice injector as that is the optimum spray pattern for your car.

If he is not willing to give you a part number or info on them, then he probably has something to hide and I would stay away from them.

The 968's as specified by APS really are the go, even if you have to save up a bit longer for them, you and your tuner will be dealing with a known product that way, what jetute said is right, if these things clog on you or provide uneven fuel supply to the cylinders and you lean out on a cylinder you could be up for a new moter.

Okay,

I've sent a message asking for both;

1. An original/genuine part number

2. If they a 'quad' orifice design

Thanks for the last minute interest, when it comes to the very finer points of vehicle parts, either standard or aftermarket, I do have to admit I'm only new. All the specifications, mentioned in my original post, to me sounded all very good and reputable.

Ebay link - 480CC 46 LB BOSCH HIGH FLOWED INJECTORS -

Above is the direct site, I invite everyone to cast a critical eye over these :spoton: instruments.

Is whats advertised (blueprinted, matched/balanced, flowtested, etc etc) standard amongst all injectors, assuming they all must some quality assured level, or are these advertised injectors potentially something fantastic?

The seller claims balanced to 3% tolerance and capable of 630hp. Surely he/she wouldn't have advertised that if it wasn't able to be proven or backed up?

Ahhhh, my head hurts!!!!!!!!!! :spoton:

THANKS EVERYONE.

You dont really know enough about them to even consider purchasing them.. ohms ect There are so many already great options avaliable so stick with the knowen ones, you have alot of good ones out there for good money. Nizpro, capa, aps? that's enough.. I use the Nizpro ones in all of my cars and I am 100 percent happy with them.

I agree. The safe bet is to stick with product that is well proven.

Well the seller is a reputable shop here in Perth, give them a call, ask them about the injector and see what comes up??

I think they would get a US injector and make it fit the BA slot.. Looks like the 3 hole ones that were floating around a while ago, maybe they modify them to quads??

Cheap enough and @ 48Lbs, hell they'd supply some power.
