I've found a rim I like in 18 x 8.5. (see attachment below) The tyre they are offering is a Nankang NSII 245/40R18 tyre. The cost of the tyre is around the $200 each mark. What are these tyres like performance/wear. My T is standard and will be for some time. The price of the package is excellent.Any constructive comments appreciated!

I'm pretty sure his came with the Nankang tyres and they seem to be fine. Can't be much worse than the SP3000's anyway!

But yeah, seems that experiences/views are mixed on this one, as you'd expect. Although I've never actually tried the Nankangs, I'm in the "wouldn't want them on my car" camp. I was offered these tyres for a similarly low price, but ended up choosing tyres significantly more expensive for my own peace of mind (wife drives the car a lot of the time, used for carting kiddie around, etc, etc). Good luck anyway, I'm sure you'll probably find them just fine for 'normal' use. As someone tried to argue before, you'd think/hope (and that's where I come unstuck! ) that any tyre in that sort of size should perform reasonably well?
