Had my car at HPF today chasing more kw's in my pursuit of a mid 12 tomorrow.

While the power of my car is a huge improvement over standard, I have seen guys with the same mods pull 30-40 more rwkw's, which to me has never made sence. 245 is not be sneezed at but other forum members have achieved that with just edit. Add injectors and springs and I always thought 270+ would be achievable

The day didnt start well when Rob couldnt get my car on the Dyno till nearly 3:30 so I didnt like my chances of gaining some power. Arrived at 5:30 to collect the car to be told he cant get more than 8psi out of it, no matter what he tried. Atleast that expalins my lower than usual power figure.

End result is I have to leave it for another day when Rob can drop the exhaust and try to figure out what the problem is.

For tomorrow, I might have to be satisfied with a low 13 :glad:

Not necessarily true Luke you be suprised if you get a high 12 with that power :glad:

They're not standard injectors he has Nizpro drilled Injectors :msm:

and they are out of Maccas car so they should be fine :msm:

Luke tell Rob to bring a lap top with him with your tunes on it. When we get to Heathcote we'll drop your exhaust including the cat and see what happens. Could be a blocked cat.

We can also go over all your pipework and see if there are any hidden leaks.

Can you give us a list of every little thing that has been altered on your car?

Just a bit of info for you to mention to them, I had the same prob for a while. and while I was looking for the problem, the things I looked for is loose hose, or partly off. the bov bypassing, but the other test I did was to kink off the waste gate hose, to see what boost the exhaust preasure would push it open, had to be carefull (all done on the dyno) and it went straight to 24psi, so backed off. it seems that some boost soliniodes. bypass more air then others, so it was getting pushed open. this seemed inconsistent. so I put a extenion spring on the waste gate to give it extra tenion (about 3 pound) so bying a higher preasure wastegate actuater would do the same thing, anyway although I had to adjust my tune, this solved my boost problem, it is holding 13psi now. I had heard that it was exhaust preasure opening the waste gate, but in my case anyway it was boost preasure bypassing the boost soliniode,

Not sure if Rob will have his laptop or not. In terms of mods, edit, nizpro injctors and valve springs and air filter. that's it mate, not even a cai.

The blocked cat could be an option, its the first thing Rob thought of too. he just ran out of time to do any more today.
