I am not hard on my car and am not too power hungry .. but generally I drive in Sydney Traffic in peak hours and only really got the kit installed for when I want to be hard on it ... leave that to your imagination Where are those LS2's .... Cheers, Jason<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Same symptoms for me, traction control cant cope very well at all.. Dunno if its just my car but anyone else get backfiring when giving it a bootful with tc still active ?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>TC never turns off but certainly cannot cope with the load, I have an APS 3.5" exhaust so no backfiring ... probably helps me in that area ...Jeff ... I suspect it could cause a standard car to chirp on a really hard shift, but I can't be sure, the shifts are pretty firm compared to stock.Cheers, Jason. I leave mine turned off unless there is a purpose to have it on. Great bang for buck but no increase in power, just quicker ET's with quicker crisper shifting. Nowadays it stays on 24/7 as I am no longer used to the slushy feel of the standard change. I dunno if its just me but it seems to respond to the load on the engine ie- even in heavy stop start traffic I can hardly notice the changes now, but with a decent bootful you can notice the firm changes get firmer?? Perhaps I am just desensitised a bit. Box still holding together fine with 290rwk and no other auto mods as yet.I agree, this is what I want to hear too.But - how long and how many kms has it been holding together with the new rwks?EDIT: OOOPS - I should have kept reading. From a stock 185kw auto that would never spin a wheel (mind you tyres are STILL under 5000km even now) in the dry with TC, and then only do it with TC off without any noise requiring only a slight steering correction when doing a 0-100 test, it's turned into a monster. With 279.8rwkw and the kit on, the 1-2 shift will audibly chirp the wheels at almost any right foot pressure on any road at any time. It feels like the rev limiter in reverse. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/18825-shiftkits-revisited/page/2/#findComment-272806 Share on other sites

Hopefully I'll be able to afford to add something like a trans cooler as well somewhere down the track. Sigh, my list of mods just keeps getting longer...
