Insane, I like your style...

I take it with our road cars weighing in at 3900Lb's and set to run a 9 shortly, you will have no dramas running 7's with ~40% more power..

Can you post a picture of the shell you plan on using?? I take it I'm like most ppl here and have no idea what a 'fox' looks like.. What does it weigh??

btw, does your Talon run the 4G63, and why are you running such a small snail on it???? what times have you got out of it?? nice little powerplant :)

I've got a feeling 'Fox' is the Fox bodied Mustangs from the early to mid 80's?

Here is what a Fox Body looks like......basically its the most widely used chassis for drag racing in the US. The only thing is almost everyone either uses the windsor 5.0 powerplant or they swap in for the new modular 4.6 engine.

My little 4G63 is just my daily driver.....don't need alot of HP to go back and forth everyday...hehe.

BTW, weight is 2900 lbs with driver and a heavier 5.0 L V8. Should be an awesome ride indeed. Still looking for an engine. If you know of a XR6T engine, please send us the info or post it as I check this post regularly. Also post up the location, as I have people that can do the shipping now, but need to know where the engine is in AUS.

I have the feeling that a spare XR6T engine is going to be a rare thing to find (privately) which is what you are trying to do. Am I right guys?

Certainly there is nothing in tradingpost.com.au a well known Australian buy/sell site which includes a whole bunch of other names under its banner.

You'll probably end up going to the source - the factory. :glad:

Wish you well though, I'd like to see a 7 sec XR6T even if it's just the block. :msm:

Call me stupid (many do) but I didn't catch on to what your "4G63" is. You said it's your daily driver. Keep posting the pics. :k24t:

Power, the 4G63 motor is the legend Mitsubishi motor from the VR4 Galant and now the Evo Lancers. 2lt Turbo that is the finest turbo 4 in the world (in my opinion). Having owned 3, I could never break one, and boy did I try. 2x VR4's and 1 x Evo 3.

I think the Talon had this motor in the USA as well as the VR4.

You going to be hard pressed trying to convince alot of SR20 fans, but I'm with you on that one...

Give me 3/4 yrs, I'll be trading the Tornado in on an Evo X or XI

Just to give the XR6 community an update. We were accepted to race in Nopi. Our engine program is in full swing now. The goal is 1800+ hp with the XR6 engine. We hope to break into the 7's@over 190mph on a Drag radial. So we will see. The only change to our program was the chassis we were going to use was not allowed. So we have now moved up to an SN95 (94-98) chassis mustang.

Thanks to the guys that helped us with finding the parts we needed, and a continued thanks to the guys that are helping us currently.
