hi guys

over the last 6 months we have edited and upgraded many falcon sixes, turbos;

and v8 s. with also constant feedback and communication from the other top tuning workshops around australia , we have been very comfortable in our recommendations of what works and what doesnt.

these figures given are taken on our dyno- dynamics dyno with every vehicle strapped down in the same manner and tyre pressures set to 50 psi. all figures are relavent to the shootout mode used for that particular vehicle.

xr6 n/a : headers back exhaust system, free flowing filter and intake , custom edit

155- 162 rwkw.

tuned with oct booster 2-3 kw extra.

xr6t : stage 1, custom edit only 220-228 rwkw

stage 2, upgraded injectors , upgraded valve springs , custom edit,

270-280 rwkw

stage 3 , all of above plus, upgraded intercooler, high flow fuel pump,

high lowing exhaust, extra intake, 280-330 rwkw.

stage 4 , all of above, h beam rods, forged pistons, transmission/gbox.

improved intake ducting and manifolding, oil pump upgrade.

330- 390 rwkw

stage 5 all of above , resize injectors, resize turbo, oct booster,

or race fuel 390- upwards rwkw.

xr8 : headers back exhaust, custo edit 215-225 rwkw.

oct.booster add 3-5 kw

supercharged 6 pound and custom edit 310-330 rwkw

fpv 290 : headers back exhaust, custom edit 250-260 rwkw

oct bboster add 3-5 rwkw

supercharged; havent done one yet

note; large intakes and throttle body can add increases but only cost effective, upgrades listed.

these uprades are not hard and fast rules but only the opinion and experiance of our own workshop , inteneded as a guide only.

kind regards

david roscio

David with the FPV 290 what size exhaust do you recommend as im thinking of a dual 2 & 1/2 would be the best set up

There is a good rule fo thumb I use when doing exhausts for all Ford V8's

"If you can't hear it before you see it, get a bigger/fatter/louder exhaust"

Works for me!

I an tell you what does not work with edit and that is the ability to have the traction control defaulted to off.

Was told it would work, but Street Tuna said they were working on it
