Everyone has raised valuable points

HPF and Nizpro offer excellent service, I actual rang both tuners to fit injectors, valve springs, edit and tune and in all honestly their was only a $50.00 differnce and one wanted the car for two days and the other for one. At the end of the day you need to trust your tuner and get feedback.

As Geea (Craig) once said get the parts yourself do the research and fine the best tuner to do the work for you. You don't have to buy the packages they sell.

They both have delivered great results and still do.

The funny thing is they will all make your car faster more powerfull it just depend on how deep your pockets are.

As long as we are all have the need for speed, the more people switching to the T and moding their cars prices will always come done its only a matter of time.

Just remember it took the VL turbo 18 odd years to get to the in the 8's just give it a couple more years and you will see the T there as well so let the tuners do there thing and lets all be proud of the Model T.

Don't forget the T has put out over 1250hp :) and we all know who built that!!

cheers

George

Theres are a lot of good tuners around, this has be said already, Im not going to get into the price war over the edit only I do wish to say this,

The lowest price (I can find) on the edit is from BPT right now, $1150. Now if somone tells me they'll tune the thing for $845, Id give'em the finger then walk.

R&D are a big cost, but how far can you sell that?

I think the cost is in the name, just ask Rod Herrod about the cost diff between BPT's XR8 snorkle and the Herrod Knock off.

I know of a tuner in sydney who calls back customers any time somthing new comes along in the tuning game and upgrades there tune for free. Maybe that's not for every one but it does get customers back into your shop again and it builds rep and strong brand loyalty + feed back for more R&D.

Any way try BPT and find a tuner who go from there.

personally, an extra $300-$400 in the scheme of things ain't that bad when you put it against the cost of your car also, how much $$ do you place on ability and track record?? Again, $400 extra would cover that in my book.

You guys (NOT all of you) whinging about the cost of a tune from different tuners should really stop for a sec. These guys can charge what they like because most of the time, in all competitive markets, you get what you pay for and it is their perogative at the end of the business day - make your own (informed) decision.

I'd better say something I suppose. Obviously I have a bias toward HPF, they have done all the work on both my cars and I couldn't be happier. The same goes for a lot of my friends from the forum, (Adam,Dave,George,Rob, Luke,Wayne just to name a few). That being said both HPF and Nizpro have the runs on the board and both will give a quality result.

The price difference between Nizpro's $1900 and what ever HPF charges, (I'm not sure) may be $200-$500. In the scheme of things this isn't alot of money. It's important to have a good relationship with the people tuning your car. I'd suggest phoning both HPF and Nizpro and talking to Rob and Simon respectively. Whichever you have like better get them to tune your car. Whichever way you go I have no doubt that you'll be happy with the result and I believe that it's important to have a good relationship with your tuner as you will more than likely be going back numorous times in the pursuit of more power.

Geea.

Well said Craig.. I think just take advise from the front runners in xr6t modding (owners that is not the tuners). And then go to whoever you want..
