Seems a bit pricy to me. That's effectively $700 for the tune.

Have you rung HPF and tried them. I thought a tune was around $300, but maybe I'm off the mark.

Makes my Edit and Custom HPF tune @ $1297 a bargain.

It should be $1600 drive away with custom tune or there abouts.

Tell Nizpro they are dreaming wanting $700 for a custom tune... :spoton:

Still comes down to $700+ for less than a days work and it's not as if that's the only job their workshop can handle during that day.

No need to charge that much.

Jordak, you have to consider overheads like insurance, liability, wages etc etc. Then R&D time getting these things right..

Yeah, u can wack in the tune that gets it pretty close in 5 mins, tweak it in another 1/2 hr, but to get to that stage takes knowledge, experience and a workshop..

I don't know why ppl judge the cost of things by the time it takes to complete. Behind the scenes, it's a whole nother story..

People run businesses to make money, just like ppl go to work, to make other ppl money (unless u don't have a boss :) ) it's a cycle.. We live with it..

And there are other places to get your car tuned..

beleive it or not when you factor in overheads it don't leave much!

you all wan't to go to a nice clean workshop with all the latest equipment to do the job right! yeah!

well it costs heaps for this!

eg:

rent $2500 p/m

dyno payments $2000+ p/m

wages $10,000 p/m

electricity$500 p/m

phone $500 p/m

and the list goe's on and on but with just these its $15,500 outgoings before you open the doors!

and he has 2 dyno's etc!

don't begrudge some one there living!

$700 is fair for r&d plus time taken to do it right!

and yes its true some charge $3-500 for custom tunes but that's up to the individual to choose who they feel most comfortable with!!!
