It's also my birthday on Sunday I did donate to the fourm yesterday (for the first time).Hahaha, good on you 1ute, nice and close to us Canberrans too! Hope you have fun and give those Expensive Daewoo boys a lesson (and that pesky AMG if it's there too!). I would love to do a track day if I wasn't such a chickensh1t and so worried about insurance issues! TOO CHICKEN !?!?!?You know,,,,You don't have to drive like you stole it.If I dont go, I might go skiing instead -Sunday - Strong to gale force S winds, cool day with some light scattered snowshowers above 1600-1700m early - mainly in the NSW resorts clearing later

You're on a race track man, and given that sort of environment I'm not sure I could trust my own self control!! Plus the combination of 240kW, 1800kg of metal, and a noob at track days, the possible consequences for me are just downright scary!!

I had a top day as I told you on the phone.I got a PB of consistent 1minute 17second lap times. Down from 1.26 (in the old car, and 1.24 in this car from previous track day from memory. Got stuck behind a 290rwkw GT driven by someone who was going through their first time on the track, over took them a couple of times. Also overtook Johns (from intune) wife when driving their 290rwkw GT with slicks on a couple of times, couldn't keep up when John was driving though (he races his XR8 in production car series). He had about 100 meters on me after two laps, four laps saw about 250meters. I'm stoked I managed to stay relatively close to a race driver with 82rwkw more than me whilst I still had street tyres!!The middle of the day saw me eventually catch up to some amazing Falcon, only slowing me down a bit through the corners. On the main straight I would reel him in, even got right next to him twice. I then chucked it in fourth and got massive fuel cutouts, tried again on the next lap, but tried leaving it in third and ride the limiter, no luck. Did a cool down lap and headed into town. I got 64.5 litres of fuel in my tank. No wonder it was cutting out down the straight (only a 68litre tank).Had a bit more luck the second time around though I got in-car footage of the entire day. Did about 300km's on the track, and still got a fair bit of grip on the front tyres. I think they'll be going on the rear now The longest streach I was out on the track for was 35 minutes with only one warm up lap and one cool down lap. Consistent 1.17's and 1.18's I've studied the crap footage (too bumpy and blurry) last night, and picked up a few faults, can't wait for the next track day. Might have a 1.16 in me

And you sound like a pretty accomplished driver mate, I certainly wouldn't like to back myself if I had to race you - well done keeping the others in fear of the mighty T! I have got a 1:15's at the last event late last year, so there is room to improve.Glad you had a good time
