Cut a spring clamp in half so you have 2 pieces about 10cm long.1 for the top and 1 for the bottom of the turbo pipePut a spring clamp on the turbo pipe loop the 2 pieces of 10cm clamp around the clamp on the rubber joiner and the new clamp on the turbo pipe. You can only see one of them in the pics, the other one is underneathPipe aint going anywhere! I find its the one that enters the intercooler that has a spring clamp only that is the problem, and that just needs a worm clamp like what you used.Top effort though! Hazey Member 234 Member For: 21y 6m 10d Posted 07/07/05 09:42 PM Author Share Posted 07/07/05 09:42 PM Yeah I have tried doing it up tight but it seems to squeeze the pipe out. If the pipe was just an inch longer it wouldnt be a problem.Maybe a good option for those running higher boost. I've heard its common for it to pop off then.Aidan
ZAP No boost, no bottle, just my foot on the throttle! It will make it stick like a bas*ard, but it can be tricky to get off if you forget its on there.Top suggestion using hoseclamps Thankfully my pipework has not come off yet

Posted 08/07/05 12:57 AM Share Posted 08/07/05 12:57 AM Where else can hoses blow off? I've replace ALL the stupid spring clamps + checked the IC hose everywhere except where it comes off the turbo. Power is WAY down and if FEELS like a leak, but I can't find one....Any suggestions?
Clapper Member 13 Member For: 19y 9m 18d Posted 19/07/05 11:49 PM Share Posted 19/07/05 11:49 PM I just recently took my car in for its 3000 km check.Apart from a couple of other things, I found that I have lost a fair amount of power since getting it back from the dealer. When accelerating, I no longer get that "push you in the seat deeper" turbo feel, and the turbo whine is basically non-existent. The engine revs sounds just like a N/A engine.I've had a quick look around to see if I can find any loose piping, but haven't been able to pick anything up. But then I don't really know what I'm looking for.I've used a GTech to measure my times and I'm doing mid 7's for 0 - 100km/h. Which I realise is very poor. Luckily I did one run before the service to compare it to, which I did 6.3s for 0 -100 km/h. My XR6T is only stock.I'm taking it back to the dealer next week for them to look at another minor problem they didn't sort out the first time, so I will definitely raise this problem up with them as well. Took the rubber out, unkinked it, put it back on nice and tight, all good now
