I'm running APS phase 11 in an auto and have found my economy has improved. I drive the car flat out all the time and it's still better on juice than when standard. Easily getting over 500 km per tank.

Just had APS Phase II completed on Thursday night. The newer version with larger injectors - I think same now as Phase III.

Anyway - do ALL of your trip meter functions still operate correctly I.e. distance 'till empty, avg fuel use? Some have said NO.

EDIT: You could also refer here: http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18592

Sorry, slightly O/T I know....but similar. :msm:

With larger injectors, the indicated fuel consumption and km to empty will be incorrect, unless modified in the factory ecu (using, for example the CAPA Edit)

As is, the factory ECU will indicate exceptional economy on your display, but actual consumption is much greater with the high flow injectors in PH2/3 apps.

I have been running PH 2, with auto mods in a ute, and I drive like an old fart (most of the time). Was getting about 420~450 km to a tank around town ( >600 on highway cruise - Melb to Adelaide) but have noticed my fuel consumption has deteriorated significantlyin recent months.

Lucky to get 350 km around town on a full tank. Performance is markedly down too, so it must be time for a retune..... methinks its running far too rich.

Lots of tell tale liquid splatter on garage floor and roller door, with sooty black deposits.

On another note, MrPulsar, Has the PWR intercooler made much of an improvement over the std PH2 o/p?

I must be a hoon.

When I fill up my car the DTE says 346km :msm:

I usually get 320-360km per tank all sydney city driving.

I do not pay the fuel bill, so I am not to fussed about crappy milage.

I did notice a small improvement when I had the Unichip on (about 10% better).

Getting great mileage here as you can see, ...according to APS, it depends on the tune....

unforunatley u have phase 2 installed and thus have bigger injectors so unless u have had the edit done, your "range" is incorrect, sorry to be a downer mate just dont want the public thinking that with phase 2 their fuel consumption miraclously decreases by 2-3l/100km :msm:

yep - youre right tbearz - pic was just to help reinforce my point...

A manual calc on a round highway trip of 660klm and a refill of

50.5litres.... according to my calcs is around 7.6 litres per 100klm...

sure beats the 14.4 it used to chew...

I get 24.3L/100km at the moment. A little over 200km (220-230ish usually. I tend to fill up just under 1/4 tank left)

that's for a standard T. Dare you to let me see how few kms per litre I can get with your Phase 1,2 and 3's!

On the freeway its great (I do little freeway driving though). Its not uncommon to see 7-8L/100km at 100-110kmh.

Interestingly, my Mk2 uses 1L/100km more than my Mk1 did, despite feeling like it puts out a fair bit less power. (I have zero doubt they partially neutered the Mk2s). Im praying it may be that I have only done 4000km...although they have been rather hard kms not taking it easy. Fingers crossed it will loosen up a little more and produce more power!

WOW !

If you tried that sort of fuel usage in my Phase II you would -

*Have no tires left.

*Have big dents in the front from ramming holdens up the arse all the time.

*Have a big smile but no licence.

*Be public enemy No1 within a week.

Just a thought..Dont mod you car...LOL....
