The boost went crazy after the exhaust was freed up showing 24-25psi and the car was all over the road in any gear! The tune in the car prior to these changes was for 19psi so I was a little concerend about leaning out and doing some damage to the engine. So I decided to head to C&V Saturday morning which was the following day and check the mixtures. For those who dont know I broke the previous box doing some test runs to see how the car reacts down the track with no boost of the line the best of 2 runs because the 3rd I smashed the converter 11.7@ 129.21mph 60"2200 and 100mph half track this was achieved with a street tune of 590rwhp and street slicks treaded which provided almost no traction till half track. The last run I said stuff it against the wishes of C&V and gave it 10psi of the line and progressed with bracking converter, oil pump drive and tail shaft before half track.Basically what I'm trying to say is making power gentleman is the easy part but the setup and turbo I am running produces a big spike of torque all at once that creates havock on my drivetrain and traction. I will attach one of my dyno runs at 22psi so you can view the tractive effort at the tyres for yourselves this particular run is with 98ron fuel and booster with full exhaust and no Nos I am waiting on a billet steel flex plate that is being made so I don't lose my legs and 15 inch rims with 28 by 9.5 inch rubber for the rear and front runners before I go again should be ready in about a week.Prior to my previous beliefs I do not think a XR6T sedan with original wait and no tubbs will ever run a low 9 sec pass 9.9 9.8 maybe and not with the standard rear end or gearbox! I will give it my best anyway without the Nos because I have A 4000rpm stall now and that should get me off the line quick enough.Next time out I will drop the exhaust though and run some good fuel and about 26psi wich is good for around 800rwhp dont forget I lose alot threw the drivetrain and converter being auto the loss with 4000 stall and auto is about 1.44 so for example 700 at the treads with my setup times 1.44 equates to about 1008 Fwhpthat is alot of go with 98ron fuel dont you think?Anyway should be ready and going out again in the next couple of weeks I will let you know.RegardsSpiro

I know what you mean about the torque all coming on at once. It's a problem that may see me stop modifying the car as the cost to rebuilt the trans on a regular basis (as well as other components that will go over 400rwkw) is not worth it for me.At the end of the day it's probably too heavy a car for drag racing. No doubts it can make the power just getting the components to deal with this considering the huge weight of the car. Perhaps your next goal is to look at stripping wieght from the car so it can launch harder without the stain on the driveline?

But there is talk of a C10 with powerglide input and output shafts that might be the way I go.
