Falchoon I see red Member 5,758 Member For: 22y 11d Location: nowhere in particular Posted 01/07/05 11:52 AM Share Posted 01/07/05 11:52 AM The only down sides are that I am more nervous as to where I park it (fear jealous loosers may damage it ). It is no lower overall but the front and rear bumpers are much lower and scrape at places I had no problems accessing in the XR (even when taken slowly and at an angle). <{POST_SNAPBACK}>So you've so far in the couple of months of ownership managed to wreck the wheels and the bumpers/spoilers? At least you're a consistently bad driver Alex, I recall you doing similar things to your XRT, I thought you might of improved by now.

And the only way you can see any damage to the bumpers is if I drove it like Brad Jones so...

I do drive to work every day to the city but usually go via the Adelaide Hills to get there. YCL your consumption figures are similar on the T as mine so your F6's look pretty good. I could live with those. My T is alot cheaper than yours was (private) but my F6 quote is higher?? Who is yours through? The Subies are dear but have are well equipped. I had a Liberty RX before the T which was a good car. If I got one it would definately be a wagon. Reckon I'd miss the space still though. (I had a EL XR6 and EB XR6 before the Liberty and couldnt wait to get back into a falc).I'm booked in to test a manual Liberty GT in the morning which will be interesting after the T. Have tried an R-B which was very nice smooth with free revving linear power delivery, but lacked the whoosh ultimately.I was wondering about scraping today actually. The only place my T scrapes is in the middle actually when I go over the footpath hump on the way into the undercroft carpark at work (especially with passengers). Because in that case the Dots MUST be on the parts - which means it is pointless the bad guys scraping them off - as the police know they should be there. Where u have DataDots fitted as 'aftermarket' the bad guys can still remove them as not all of that model car is expected to have DataDots. Having said that - Dots still deter theft as the bad guys generally dont want to have worry about trying to remove them; and 7,000 Dots are sprayed on each car - so its impossible to find and get them all off...CountryPhoon

As such optioning up and XR6T to Typhoon levels will show you far less return in the end. A Typhoon should hold much better resale given their exclusivity.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I agree with that MYF6. See some highly optioned T's for sale for bugger all more than standard ones. I have time on my side. Only just coming up to 2 yrs of a 3yr lease, but will prolly change as soon as the T resale covers the payout. Love new cars...ps guys. Dont think I'd ever buy a demo performance car! Dont think I'd ever buy a demo performance car!<{POST_SNAPBACK}>As an asside I had a small drama with an oil leak and took it back at about 5000ks just after the 3000k service. The mechanics had to look under the bonnet to see what I was talking about and the 3 of us were standing in front of the car looking at the motor.Apprentice "So do things go as hard as they look?"Mec "Sh!t yeah, they go real fast, too fast"App "Oh cool"Mech "Yeah I took one out a while ago went real hard, much faster than the XR, ....I think this was this one that I drove"Me "Humph" They both look at me like a roo caught in your headlights, then had a sort of Doh, did I say that out loud look. Then went on as if nothing had happened, pissed myself as that's the way I drive it once or twice a day anyway.
