Guys, been spending alot of time thinking about what to get next after the T.

Been tossing up Liberty GT, Liberty R-B, 6 MPS (if its any good) or another T.

If I got another T I would option it up somewhat (only got Prem sound on this one) with lux pack and possibly 18's, brakes and sunroof etc. When I used the online configurator I got it up to $58202 without the sunroof...So I figure - not far off the price of the Typhoon!

So what price can Joe Bloggs off the street expect to pay for a Typhoon?? (I got $5K off the rrp of my first T).

What do you guys pay for insurance? Got a quote for $1681 through RAA (paid $692 for the T) What did you pay if you had a T before (so I can compare).

How much petrol are you using? (and how did you do if you had a T before?)

Thanks in advance

SOON2BF6 (maybe!)

This is just my opinion but if I were to get a typhoon and was slightly stretching the $$$$ I would do one of 2 things.

Wait untill the series (ie MK1) are coming to end and MK2 are coming into production and grab a mk1 for a knockout price or if the newer model is your thing get yourself an ex-demo. They are a great saving and they are run in hard and fast just the way they should be. As far as fuel consumption goes I dont think there is much difference to the T, if u thrash it prepare to watch the consumption go up but if your easy on the right foot good milege is never a problem :spoton:

I would wait until the end of the year ans see if the F6 will be released with the 6sp auto. You can bet that if (will) it is 6sp auto, this would be a better choice over the manual.

You will also have new choices like the Evo9/MPS/6lt SS etc.

There are many new and interesting models being released at the end of the year.

I was in the same boat as you .. I was going to get XR6T or XR8 .. after thinking about more by the time u upgrade them u are at the price of a Typhoon..

But with the Typhoon the resale will be must better than a XR6T or 8 there are way more of them on the road and the phoon's are more limited in production so the resale should be good..

plus by the time ya sell it every "P" plater is going to want it ..

that's my 2c

Sounds pretty good. Is that standard? I'd prolly only get mats and a towbar!

Was that just your negotiating skills, or was the salesman your mums brothers aunts cousin? :spoton:

You should be able to get a demonstrator , with leather for around the mid 50s driveaway.Should also be able to get them to throw in mats , tint etc

Now insurance AAMI..... 2003 T with Premo sound and APS phase 2 $975

Phoon with Leather and exhaust mods , injectors + fuel pump( not yet fitted)

$2200 :spoton: Sydney

Fuel 300-350ks per tank :kissmy: though only 1400ks on the clock so expect this to improve slightly . Phase 2 was getting closer to 400ks.

Mate go the Phoon , you wont regret it :spoton: Hope this helps
