As an after-thought, the roads we are going on are majority highway.

The only twisty bits are down the Brown Mountain, and the majority of the road between Pambula and Bombala.

I was thinking of either one of two scenario's to make the drive a bit more fun.

Option1: (probably won't happen due to distance) Add an extra two hours to the cruise. When we get to Bega, head North and turn off to Bermagui, then south to Tathra and Merimbula. Then continue as originally planned. These roads are nice and twisty, and have recently been resealed.

BP Ultimate is available in Bermagui, Optimax as mentioned isn't available outside Canberra. Although Shell Premium 96 is available near Bermagui as well.

Option2: Bypass Bega by heading down south to Candelo (taking the turn off after the Brown Mounain and Bemboka), then south east to Merimbula for lunch. This means less km's but will take the same time as the original plan due to the fun bits. There is BP Ultimate available in Merimbula, as well as Shell Premium 96.

Option3: Leave it as it.

Thoughts, opinions, etc.. ?

I go to Merrimula to visit the OldBagInLaw far too often.

We usually go via option 2, but it is a very narrow twisty pothole ridden road, and as such some may not like it.

I vote 2 then 3 then a very distant 1. :spoton:

Cro

Count me in as well. (any excuse for a cruise)

Option 2 sounds good, nice country, great road.

Not sure if I'll have Bev or a mate.

I'am interested in dinner as well Sunday night.

Regards

Gary

P.S. no dirt for me.

Road from Pambula to Bombala might be a bit much for Bev :)

Also, Cruise guidlines that were trialled at Kens cruise will be active on this cruise.

Same format too. I'll be up front (cause I'm the one guiding everyone), and someone with a powerful CB will be up back.

Hi Ken :spoton:

Further details will be issued at the beginning of the day.

Hmmmm? Cro up the front, me down the back eh?

That'll work, the more distance between us the better I say.:spoton:

It's pretty hard to miss the Gull servo however for those who feel they might here is a map

http://www.whereis.com/whereis/mapping/rec...ntrePoint.y=267

I can't remember if it's Tralee St or the other street into Hume but you can not miss the sign (especially if you coming from up north)...

Hi guys, it's the first turn off (Shepard St) for the servo... (Drove past there last night...)
