If you do end up grazing in Canberra, let me know and I will see if I can make it! :gooff:

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Sure thing ... maybe someone can suggest a decent place in Canberra to relax and eat after a long day's driving.

Somewhere nice and warm with good food.

:spit:

I believe I'll be taking the Monaro way...

Dirt and The Beast are not exactly a combination that I like...

so next weekend I think its the 17th is a definate? and we gonna be sticking to the speed limit?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I for one will be, I've done the trip from Canberra to Cooma (and a little around the place) a fair few times and I have seen coppers hide is such spots that by the time you have seen them they have already zapped you... Plus they are twice as mean / determined because it's ski season...

Speed limit for sure, couple of reasons...

Police from Canberra - Cooma are plentiful, Bombala - Cooma may have some ice on road that hasn't melted away by the time we get there (although very unlikely, it is possible).

So all care will be taken.

Canberra - Cooma - Bega - Pambula - Bombala - Cooma - Canberra

Warnings:

This is a 5 - 6 hour drive, so beware if you don't feel like driving for that long. If you are after Optimax specifically you better fill up in Canberra and take some octane booster with you. Only Shell Premium 96Ron exists once we get out of Canberra.

People wanting to use BP Ultimate will be fine. There is Ultimate in Cooma and again in Bega.

So who is coming along?

I filled up in Cooma with Vortex 98 @ $1.22 per L.

This was about two months ago..

I'll come along..

This Gull?!?! Is that past the Queanbeyan Ski club boat ramp?

Can anyone post a map with its location...(I'm new to Canberra)..

The gull is on the Monaro Highway. It's in the industrial suburb of Hume, so if you are going to cooma it's on the left at the set of traffic lights in the "middle part" of hume.. I think it's the only turn into hume from the monaro highway.

I hope this isn't confusing..

Anyways, it's been a long time and I think I'll have time for a cruise... Count me in for now cro ;)

It's pretty hard to miss the Gull servo however for those who feel they might here is a map

http://www.whereis.com/whereis/mapping/rec...ntrePoint.y=267

I can't remember if it's Tralee St or the other street into Hume but you can not miss the sign (especially if you coming from up north)...
