I really sympathize with all of you guys who've had problems with your Ford dealers.

I do have to say though (think I've said before in another thread) that not all dealers are bad.

The dealer here in Hobart (there's only one...) is very good.

While I've had no serious problems with my T there have been a few difficult to find ones and a problem with paint faults.

All problems have been sorted out to my satisfaction and if the car needs to be test driven then their head mechanic drives it - typically before work starts and after it's completed with me as driver or passenger as required.

Had the same level of service with both my previous Fords.

Man, this is one scary thread, though it's taught me one thing - no test drive unless im there! I dont care if I have to take a day off work.

I dont really have any horror stories, just numerous issues of frustration. Like the time that the drivers seat on my EF broke (at the welds) and they reported it servicable. The look on the face of the supervisor would have made me laugh as I literally picked the seat up, if I wasnt so disgusted.

For me, I think I'll take the car to a personally proven centre (ie one that I personally selected and rated as top stuff), one that protects my warranty etc etc. I'll only use Ford service to check and see if there are any "service bulletins" that apply to my car, and perhaps for parts to be fitted by someone else!

I've had big problems with centre ford when buying my car.

1st they managed to *beep* up the original application for finance by not including an amount for the licensing of the vehicle (im in wa an its from vic)

so they ask me for $340 cash which I dont have. I manage to get them to add it to my finance so I take the 1.5 hour round trip to the dealer to resign. all sorted - so I thought.

in the mail ystdy I get a bill for transfer of the vehicle into my name!! I have effectively paid to have them register the vehicle in their name!!! I couldn't believe it. $2000 more dollars and believe me consumer affairs is getting a ring abot this :nono: that I have had to go through.

has soured the whole purchase of the vehicle. This is only the second car I ever bought an the I dont remember any giant stamp duty bill.. I gotta refinance again with the amount of the bill because I just cant afford that much in 3 weeks.

Lucky I am refinancing anyway because the guy told me ford credit were just as good as everywhere else after I qouted him esanda's rate of 8.5%. after digging through the paperwork I find my rate with ford credit is 16%! that's over 6g more it will cost me over the life of the loan. fcukin unbelievable.

will just have to pay the $750 early exit fee and cut my losses with another company.

wooooosaaaaa wooooosaaaa

feel much better for this post :kissmy:

moral of the story... NEVER GO TO CENTRE FORD. NEWCASTLE ST PERTH WA.

wooooosaaaa woooosaaaa
