Who says it was Ferrari???

Have you thought about Minardi, they run Bridgestones & have FA chance of points unless this were to happen.

Beside Stoddard is a tosser.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Yep exactly. Everyone automaticly persumes Ferrari all the time. Jordan are the other Bridgestone team also and I thought their celebration after the race was inappropriate.

Agreed... although may as well celebrate now cause it aint gonna happen again again... The new rules for 2008 will make the sport more fun to watch

the reintroduction of slicks

an ecu provided by the FIA (no teams cant have their own)

less downforce allowed

no more driver aided gizmos..(such as t/c and launch at the press of a button etc..)

cars to be wider

this will make it a more level playing field... also testing hours will be limited.. and monitired through FIA's ecu.

I heard today, not only slicks but one tyre for all teams to keep different brands performance out of the equation.

I like the idea for FIA ECU too... Launch control is suppose to be banned. However Renault launch way faster then any other team every race but FIA can not find launch control software in their ecu's...

I would recommend 'planet-f1.com' for a full run-down on the situation. (a bloody good website).

it was ferrari who dissagreed to allow the change to the circuit on the basis that the FIA had already dissagreed to the change (although if all ten teams agreed the FIA rulling could of been vetoed).

the situation is not ferraris, the FIA, or Bernies fault, but the failure in resolving the situation and proceeding with the race (they are all entertainers after all) has to be blamed on them equally.

just my two cents.

A few people seem to have said that the teams may get penalties of some kind. I can’t see how this could happen, as the Michelin teams withdrew because of safety concerns. Under the circumstances, it was the only responsible thing they could do. Imagine if they’d let their drivers run and somebody crashed and was killed. The team owners would probably be up on manslaughter charges then.

I heard that as a result of this race they will probably go to one tyre manufacturer as of next year. I would say that it’s a good bet it won’t be Michelin too!

It was the only responsible thing, that's correct, and the right thing to do.

But me bets the FIA will sanction teams that participated in this. The FIA told them to race but just not as fast!! WTF

Its funny how the Bridgestone saga in Brazil 2003 doesnt get a mention. When Bridgestone didnt have safe wet weather tyres to race on as Bridgestone supplied the wrong tyres. Funny how the rules were changed then hey?

The new tyre thing should come into affect in 2008. There are written contracts till then, and they wont be cheap to get out of.

Michelin are not the only ones to make bad choices. Bridgestone have done the same in 2003. Ecclestone and Ferrari, your both a bunch of tossers. Change the rules to suit yourselves but dont extend the same courtes for others :spoton:

I know we have some die hard fans here, but F1 has lost my support.

This is not just due to the debarcle of last night, but the consistant rule changing over the past 5 years and also the new proposed rule changes in 2 years.

F1 is now a JOKE and they have lost my viewership.

Why would you watch a racing series that spends all of its time trying to slow the cars down and turn the technology into a 1970's car.

We want cars to have active suspension, Slicks, full aero packages, technology and SPEED.

F1 is meant to be the pinicle of motoring technology, but everytime someone invents something good, the FIA ban it :spoton:

I do not want to watch the follow the leader F1 racing we have had for the past 7 years, it is BORING. :spoton:

All I can say is I am glad that CART (indycars) are still on TV so I can watch real open wheel racing. I also cannot wait until the A1 season starts at the end of this year, it will make F1 look like a pack of stuckup wankers.

Shame FIA shame, you should be called NFI. :yeahyeah:
