Have come across an interview carried out with Paul Stoddart during the race. Well worth a listen. Careful of the swearing :crybaby: though if you are at work/near kids etc

I know we have some die hard fans here, but F1 has lost my support.

This is not just due to the debarcle of last night, but the consistant rule changing over the past 5 years and also the new proposed rule changes in 2 years.

F1 is now a JOKE and they have lost my viewership.

Why would you watch a racing series that spends all of its time trying to slow the cars down and turn the technology into a 1970's car.

We want cars to have active suspension, Slicks, full aero packages, technology and SPEED.

F1 is meant to be the pinicle of motoring technology, but everytime someone invents something good, the FIA ban it :nono:

I do not want to watch the follow the leader F1 racing we have had for the past 7 years, it is BORING.

All I can say is I am glad that CART (indycars) are still on TV so I can watch real open wheel racing.  I also cannot wait until the A1 season starts at the end of this year, it will make F1 look like a pack of stuckup wankers.

Shame FIA shame, you should be called NFI. :spoton:

agreed. :spoton:

FI is an absoulte crock of $hit and the other night proved this :pooh:

no redesign or pattern change was ever in the equation... tyres were the same... jsut a new batch

They were different tyres actually, Michelin brought over another batch of "Barcelona" spec tyres from Rnd5 which wouldve been a completely different compound and construction. The FIA said it would be a breach of rules to allow the new tyres as they werent presented to scrutineering earlier in the week, but ultimately the decision was up to the race stewards. Considering the FIA felt the punishment wouldnt be exclusion, it adds some more blame on the teams.

I thought I heard/read that Michelin said that the Barcelona tyres they brought over couldn't be guaranteed either, and that was why nobody used them. :spoton:
