Gday guys, im finding that my bumper full of alot of black soot from the exhaust from condensation and maybe from running really rich. I seem to think it may be worse than some but it is white so maybe im just picky, but hows everyone elses. I know these things run rich from the factory but geez I dont wanna be cleaning my bumper every couple of days.....

It may seem as if all I do is pick faults with my T but since I had so many dramas with my last xr its just made me paranoid about this one.

Just so everyone is clear, it only blows this crap out when its cold and there is obviously moisture in the exhaust, once its warm its fine, but it is making a mess for such a short period of time.

If you are running Optimax , then yes you will get it, it is horrible for putting the black soot at the back.

If you are modded and running reasonable power then you will get it to a certain extent, but certainly not as much as the Optimax.

Had the same with my white T, but get off the Optimax and you will see a reduction in soot. :censored:

Hows it going,

Ive got a new black T with 2000 on the clock. I park real close to a garage door and it is alway covered with soot from starting in the morning. I put it down to the NEW motor running rich. It is a pain in the :censored:

The other spot that marks black is the front rims from the brakes!!! I would love to get the new SHADOWED rims..Would hide it alot.

I guess all colours have there pros and cons hey...

From new I had heaps of soot all over the rear bumper/boot. It seems to have suddenly improved at around 3,500km.

I've heard it's pretty common when new.
