Aparently the car needs some modifying to make it fit.PWR is probably the second best, Saleen fitted one to his car recently so talk to him on pricing and fitment.Street Tuner is selling some intercoolers that are supposed to be pretty good, practicaly bolt in and cost <$1000.Dynowog has available some intercoolers as well, around the same price as Street Tuner's, I think SIXRT has recently purchased one so contact him for more info.It dpends too on what power level you are trying to achieve. If you are chasing mega power chat with BCL and or Geea as the have the most powerful and quickest XR6Ts of the forum members at this time (BCL's car is around 700RWKW and Geea's car does high 10 sec 1/4 mile). They also want around 2K for the lot. Ive got a genuine Typhoon front mount, but you now need a VIN# from a Typhoon in order to get one. The company that manufacturs them make a clone of the Typhoon jobbie, its black not silver, and hasn't got the fitting for the boost sensor that the Typhoon runs. I believe you can get these for about $1100.00. 100% bolt in, the only mods you have to do is find a new spot for your horns. I also assisted Saleen to fit his front mount PWR job, it is a very well built unit, and looks fantastic, and I reckon after he re-tunes his piggy, he will see a definite improvement. These cost around $800. But these do not bolt in, unlike what the PWR salesman says! Geea has an APS IC.Neither of these versions are direct factory replacements, as they are for Nizpro & APS kits.Seems like the market is starting to be flooded with options.Brian Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/18307-intercoolers/#findComment-264425 Share on other sites

Check my attached dyno chart and look at the before and after boost curve. You can see what less restriction does to the boost delay. Four power runs and all runs within 1kw. Although I do agree with ms700, it ain't a simple bolt in. Although, maybe at the end of July I may have a genuine Typhoon 'cooler to sell......... Its a straight bolt-up kit. HFT are also currently working on a new piping set to go with the cooler. It should be worth the wait Im told.
