mate no offence intended but ebing young I hear that kinda stuff everyday, even when I had my old 86 bluebird, after awhile it just goes in 1 ear and out the other, but for the sakes of keeping this car im guna be careful

That's all I was asking for!

I hear where you're coming from though, I still remember all the seemingly painful and repetitive advice I got when I was that age too. Hard to believe, but trust me, the silly old buggers were right!! :pinch::tease:

If they are 19 and can afford a T they must be one of the 3 options:

1. Work in IT

2. Inherrentance or rich parents

3. Drug dealers.

I would suspect option 1 for most of our young T drivers

Or a public servant? :)

Edit: This job pays more than the IT job I used to be in, almost double.

Nupe, IT don't pay that well anymore and if your only 19, how could you be qualified to work in IT ?

That is a very very short Uni Course and not very long in a TAFE course either....

Takes a LOT of cash to buy an XR6T and seriously, I just do not believe it can be done.

If you are earning that sort of money already, perhaps you should be buying a house instead...

depends on what you want... a nice car or a nice house... If your lucky you can have both (most of us arent)...in My younger days I could of blown my money on a nice car and worked hard to pay it off over the loan period... instead at age 17 I decided to go overseas and spend time abroad... I travelled until I had no more money.. I then came back and worked for another year and went overseas again... I did this until I was 26. At 26 I had nothing to show for it :idunno: but I had a bloody good time too :idunno:

diffrent strokes for diffrent folks :spoton:

good on the youngies for going for a nice car. Better then p1ssing your money up against the wall :kissmy:

Its great to see members of all ages being able to afford a T. Should we question how a 19 year old afford a T?

No IMO. Good luck to them I say.

Yeah, But I'm sure you didn't p1ss 50K up against the travel wall when you went first time either......

We must be talking about $1000 / month repayments on a T aren't we even with Ballon repayment at the end? Plus insurance.. Didn't I just see someone say $4k / year ?

WTF is that dribble? Just because you may not have been in the same position at that age do not automatically assume everyone else is in the same boat.

I would have bought a T at 19 if they were around, as I could have easily afforded it (more so than now!) through busting my ass and working hard. Give the guys a break.

I think Dallas has hit the nail right on the head. :nono:

No you are right, we probably shoud be worrying about what "Knee Jerk" reaction the Federal government are going to have when these things are second hand enough that ALL P-platers can afford them.

Bloody High death toll on our roads then I would expect......
